CHOOSING THE RIGHT GYM
So you want to train, but you don't know where to start?
Most people today want to live healthier lifestyles or simply look good in clothes or butt naked, but most are not willing to put in the work. Yep I am talking about you procrastinators and finger pointing, people hating couch potatoes (if that's you, there's hope yet.) but we'll get to that topic in the next post.
On the other hand you get the few that are willing to put in work in order to see results, but the only problem is that they have no idea where to start, if that's you, then you better read on :)
Joining a gym is easy, really. The tricky part is what to do after you have joined the gym, it may seem like a boring, intimidating or unusual place for you, but believe me its nothing more than a place filled with people who are there to better themselves physically, make friends and distress. It's a really cool place to be after work or school. Nonetheless you may feel a little uneasy and uncomfortable if you are not used to being in such situations so here are some tips when it comes to joining a gym, I like to call them ' GYM ICEBREAKERS"
1) Find a gym closest to where you live, because you are at least familiar with the area and besides traveling a very long distance to the gym can be time consuming and can affect your sessions.
2) On arriving, take a short tour around the gym just to ensure that it has the facilities or equipment best suited to your needs which leads me to my next point of KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT out of the gym and exercising, do you just want to lose weight? Gain huge muscle? Tone up? Or simply get fit and healthy?
3) Approach the receptionist and inquire if that gym has a personal trainer on hand and whether or not they charge a fee.heir services.
If you are not ready to be trained by someone else or feel uncomfortable with having a personal trainer, then you can simply go online and download different training routines and nutritional information that deal with your specific need. You can even get all that right here on 'hellosexyme'.
4) Lastly, be consistent, do not quit, challenge yourself and prove to everyone who said you could not do it, including YOURSELF that you mean business. You are not weak but STRONG, your are not small but BIG, your are not fat but GORGEOUS........NO GO KICK BUTT!!

Back With The Bang!!
So for those of you who have read any of my post, I do apologies for the delay in delivering, as I am sure you have guessed by now, I have been very busy in the last year nonetheless still working hard at my craft and life long passion of weight lifting :).
This post does not have much to do with exercise and the gym, but I would like to take time out to touch on a few topics that ultimately affect our physical well being although that may not seem like the case at first...
Can any of you guess what those topics are? I bet not. Love, happiness and being real!!
All human beings compose of different elements that make them up, we are all social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and psychological beings and it is imperative that we are happy or at least at peace in these various spheres of life because if not, the results can be devastating. For example, if we ignore the fact that we are social beings or do not ensure that our social lives are fully nourished we break down, a social life consists of having good friends, going out to places you enjoy, it does not have to be a club or shopping mall, it could be something outdoors depending on what you prefer.
Having a close circle of people you can talk to etc.
So as you can see our physic is not all we should think about improving because if we are not happy within, we can not perform outwardly. Make sense?
We are also emotional beings so let us all make sure we take care of ourselves in this department too because emotional distress basically limits all your potential in anything, think about it....if you are hurting emotionally as I am sure most of you have, you to an extent feel unworthy, fatigued, angry at the world etc and some of you may be feeling like that right now! Well the good news is that those are just feelings that are natural to all humans and they do not define who you are! Cheer up.
Without going on too much with the psycho bauble, I want to tell you a short story about myself, years ago I was involved in a relationship where the woman I loved cheated on me with someone else and I had to let her go, it was tough and I was broken down, I had hit rock bottom and became so physically ill that I almost died, I lost all my gains (that's muscles for those of you that do not know) I was as thin as a twig. Automatically I temporarily stopped going to the gym and life was hell, but then one day I made the choice to not let one person out of seven billion people on earth ruin me, an I promised myself to never let anyone drive me away from what I love doing and now years later I had recently met another woman (Lynn) who brought out the best in me and supported me in my decisions and most importantly believed in me, and now I am on top of the world.
Point is friends, surround yourselves with people who add to your life and can help you build yourself emotionally and you in turn can build yourself PHYSICALLY!!!!!
